"We see the nicest people at the worst
time in their lives. Our goal is to help our clients reach a successful resolution
of their legal problem so they can move forward in their lives."
Ms. Wilson has extensive experience in the fields of real estate and family
law. She has handled hundreds of complex and sophisticated cases including divorce,
custody, paternity and post-divorce matters, many of which require financial
acumen in the context of divorce litigation. Ms. Wilson's practice also includes
negotiating a broad range of real estate transactions, drafting agreements and
representing buyers, sellers and lenders throughout the Greater Boston and Metrowest
areas.
Having advised clients in both the family law and real estate areas for
over 20 years, Ms. Wilson has also received advanced training as a
mediator and in
the innovative field of Collaborative Law. She provides mediation and collaborative
law services to clients who wish to resolve their delicate and complicated
legal issues, with less trauma, less cost and less involvement in the
court system.
Ms. Wilson's practice includes a long history of advocating for the
rights of her gay and lesbian clients, representing them vigorously in
all areas of real estate and family law. Her skilled experience has navigated
them through the state's evolving family law, whether they are creating
their own families, or ending a relationship. Her representation of clients
in this area also includes same sex divorce, second parent adoptions,
prenuptial agreements, ownership and partnership agreements, and partition
actions.
Ms. Wilson frequently provides consulting services to other family law
attorneys. She is a regular speaker on issues relating to divorce and post-divorce
matters, in addition to the application of family law to the rights of
gays and lesbians. Ms. Wilson's demonstrated skills and application of
sound judgment in difficult divorce cases have further resulted in her
appointment by the court to serve as a guardian ad litem in family law
cases.
Admitted to the Supreme Judicial Court in 1988, Ms. Wilson is also
admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the
District of
Massachusetts.
